Re: What are you watching tonight?

Still enjoying Line of Duty, tbf I eat that kind of stuff up. Does feel like the Hastings character has to get one catchphrase in per episode, which grates mildly.

Re: The athletics/running thread

Back at track on Thursday which should be nice. Then moving to Leyton in a fortnight so shall be scouting out some running/tri clubs out east. ...

Re: Something in the water? V Harrogate, home, 3-0'clock Sat 10-04 -21

Re: This weeks RIP's........

Obituaries for public figures are nearly always written in advance but I've never watched anything like that show on the BBC earlier on Prince Phillip. It's one of those things that you know 'has' to happen-a pre-prepared show on the passing of a major member of the royal family- but seeing it actua...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Around 70km on the iron horse today out to Windsor and a bit back. Felt fine apart from the horrible headwinds that seemed to blight the entire journey east. This evening's takeaway curry has sated the appetite.

A glance at the result of this evening's result from the world Cup qualifier between Ireland and Luxembourg should provide a nice bit of amusement to round off the evening.

Past performance does not guarantee future results. Or something like that.

Gerrin. Couldn't watch today but glad I saw we won before delving into the thread and seeing the grizzly reality of what transpired.

Not associated with the game but Barrow have been on a tear since we knocked in a last minute winner, eh?

Re: General Chit Chat

What on earth is going on in France. Originally, France approved the AZN vaccine but limited its use to under 65s. They then shelved it completely owing to the blood clots scare, which the EMA said yesterday was a false narrative. Vaccination with AZN resumed. Today, the French regulator has said th...

Re: Contract expiry

Yes I saw that a week or so ago. Quite refreshing to see someone being quite candid about how they see themselves relative to where they are currently playing, it probably is relatively common on the loanee side of things but cool to see anyway. It also brought to mind a quote from Evatt toward the...

Re: The athletics/running thread

42 miles out on the bike today, first along the horrid A5 before venturing through some lovely Chilterns countryside. First time I've ridden that far in a long long time. Loved it and, more importantly, not a hint of pain. Now for pasta and a bath, although not at the same time. You went twice? 😳 I...
