Re: The athletics/running thread

First run in over 3 weeks this evening, with Bruce and Morag. Very pleased with 5k in under 30 mins after almost breaking my ankle in the first 50m! Thought you were on your way arse-over when you went. How is it this morning? Surprisingly ok, thanks. I can feel it a little bit, but no pain. Phew!

I’ve not done anything in ages. I may squeeze into my lycra tomorrow and attempt a work out video or some yoga/stretching. Thanks. T...

Re: Top 5 of all time...

Never quite understood why hitting someone is considered a ‘sport’, but then we could also debate snooker, darts, motor racing and show jumping as others in those are they/aren’t they categories. I suppose at least boxing you have to be very physically fit for!! The rule's a simple one. If you need...

Re: General Chit Chat

Having a nice snuggly cuddle with youngest son (age 5) before bed and he turns round after telling me he loves me to ask me what I would do if my head was chopped off?! I don’t understand the male mind sometimes, young or old! So? Don’t leave us all in suspense. What was your answer?

Re: Today I'm happy about......

Today I was happy when I saw the look on my sons face having told him that he (and his dad who’s account he does it from) had won £500 on super 6. He was made up when the tooth fairy eventually remembered to leave him £1 this morning so you can imagine how he felt with this news (Though he won’t be...

Re: European Finals.

Great news. Sorry to say this for supporters of those clubs, like yourself GG but there has to be some consequences to the owners actions. I suspect UEFA will be terrified of doing anything too harsh but the PL should be looking at a fine and points deductions for next season. I’d agree on a fine, ...

Re: European Finals.

So that’s that then, thank God. I’m sure there will possible, deserved repercussions but I don’t care right now. Just glad the whole nightmare is over for now. I wonder if the owners will be man/woman enough to issue statements saying they under estimated the strength of feeling, or if they’ll hope...

Re: Dulux. New Spurs sponsors

What’s more of an interesting question, and one which I’ve not figured out yet the answer too is if say Bolton were the club doing this how would your support fare, any of you? Would you abandon them as a fan completely? Would you want to watch their games in the super league? Superb question. I ho...

I do like our attempts to play football but occasionally instead of trying to walk it in, I do wish someone would occasionally have a bang. Can't win the lottery without buying a ticket Agreed. Sick of us passing the ball to death around the box. The one time we went for it tonight, Dapo hit the po...
