Re: Be Wise and Ern it: Morecambe (A) Sat 24/4/21 @ 3pm

I like Brockers I think more than most, but Jackson seemed competent and would be my first choice to replace John if he's out. Big call on Sarc. We look miles better with him, but do you risk throwing him straight back in?

Re: Contract expiry

I'd be confident on Dapo if we went up. Don't think he's done enough for any championship team to be in for him, and why not go where you're settled and valued. John could still be tricky. Agree he's the one (closely followed by Lee and Santos) who looks far too good for this division. Similar to th...

Re: Contract expiry

Is he balls, he's starting pretty much every week in the best team in the league. He's comfortably a league two attacker.

He's a long way from proving he can do it at a higher level, but there's obviously a player there. He's nearly but not quite there at the moment.

Re: Contract expiry

Have you forgotten that he can't kick?! He's a really good player, quick, strong, good in the air, but he's technically very very limited. I can see an argument that he could be more effective in a league two, up and down side, on the wing, but no champ or prem team is buying him as a winger and tha...

Re: Contract expiry

Goals cost money. Kioso is a right back, I reckon he'll end up a very good one. But you're not getting much for him. Dapo less likely to name it at the top, but *if* he comes good you could get big wedge.

Re: Contract expiry

Kioso probably the better player but you're off your head of you'd rather have him in the front three. And Dapo more likely to sell for big money. I'd gladly, gladly take both for next year though, whatever league.

Re: Dulux. New Spurs sponsors

I love that one of BWFCi's answers is that there would basically be no risk of disaster :D I wouldn't follow them. I'd be off to AFC Bolton or whatever. FWIW and it's easy for them to say now but every fan of the traitor teams I know that I've spoken to says they want no part in it and will stop fol...

No-one is happy with it. It was a bad performance. It happens. I'm glad the manager isn't just saying it's fine, but it's always going to happen over a course of games. Certainly since January we should be looking to win every game individually, but you can't expect that will actually happen. They'v...

You are aware they're not a bike?

There's another team playing. They're playing in a system that is designed so that teams of similar ability play each other. Sometimes you lose. It happens.

Re: European Finals.

Aye, plenty justified criticism of the existing model and the way football is run and power allowed to accumulate and solidify, but this is a complete step change even from that. The lack of competition/jeopardy and an opportunity for others to compete is a joke. It'll get binned off, but they'll c...

Re: European Finals.

Think the reports that Mourinho going has anything to do with the ESL are wide of the mark - seems to be just a sacking. If they have anything about them at all, all management and coaching staff from these 6 clubs should resign immediately. They won't though as they are on the gravy train too. Pla...

Re: Dulux. New Spurs sponsors

Just been out on the bike past the Emirates, a pretty big crowd with placards and banners protesting. I reckon 100 or so. Had my helmet on or I'm sure I'd have heard them chanting.

Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

I have just been reminded what today is the ten year anniversary of via twitter. Thanks. For. That. Fingers crossed we are right mentally for this one. Just read exactly the same. A reminder to keep one's feet on the ground if ever there was one! :( It's also 20 years since Deano and Villa. First m...

Re: Time to batter the fish wives? Grimsby (A) - Sat 17th Apr 12:30 KO

There's a pretty big difference between "it's not about results" and "it's not merely about results" which is what DSB was saying. And they're inextricably linked. Trying to play out from the back isn't entertaining if you give it away every time and get beat 5-0 every week. They aren't diametric op...

I thought about trying that on but, while I've never been to Derby, I doubt their ground is built downslope from "Winter Hill" :D the cold gives it away.
