Welcome to The-Wanderer – a Bolton Wanderers Football Club 'unofficial' webzine. If you’re a regular visitor, you might like to avoid all this waffle and get the hell on with it. If you’re new round these parts then please read on and we’ll try and give you an idea of what to expect from The-Wanderer.
The-Wanderer is the product of a collaboration between various fans of Bolton Wanderers Football Club. We are independent from any other fanzine / information service, and independent from Bolton Wanderers Football Club and do not claim to represent it or any of its facets.
The-Wanderer is an attempt to provide a forum for stimulating and informative writing about Bolton and football in general. This forum is dedicated to the views of the fans and represents nothing more. Therefore, the views expressed on this webzine are not necessarily those of the ‘editors’, but those of the individual contributor.
Should anyone who feels misrepresented in any way, then please contact us – the right of reply is always open (except maybe on Sunday morning when we'll probably have a hangover). If you feel particular incensed towards somebody’s views on here, then may we suggest you write a counter argument? The-Wanderer welcomes contributions on any subject – so get finger to keyboard and send us stuff. Infamy and absolutely no fortune await....
If there is anything that is slightly libellous, we the editors vehemently disagree with it. 100%. No question. Without a doubt. Despite the fact that we may have wrote it in the first place. All contributions (other than racists or fascist gumff, which will be immediately and swiftly filed in the cylindrical receptacle beneath our desks) are welcome. Articles can be written, typed (preferably) or sung by cheerleaders. Especially if sung by cheerleaders. Please remember to include your name, or pseudonym, and an email address. Once material has been submitted, it is subject to rigorous editing; i.e. spelcheque, grama and tiping erras will be korekted.
Please note that all stuff on this webzine is copyright, a concept that the mainstream media thinks only applies to their stuff. We don't write this stuff as free filler for journalists who are too bloody lazy to do their jobs properly. However, we don't mind fair use by other genuine fanzines as long as you don't use the whole bloody thing and give us some credit!
It has been said about this site - “It’s all a bit, well, texty, isn’t it?” erm…..well, yes it is. That’s partly because we’ve never believed the cliché ‘a picture paints a thousand words’. We want to read about what people are thinking – not look at Campo’s new haircut. On the other the hand – if you really want to write about Campo’s latest bonnet then please feel free. We won’t stop you. Honest.
