Date: Tuesday 19th July 2005Victories 1. MIDDLESBOROUGH - Beating them to stay up and send West Ham down tops my list as it meant so much to stay in the Prem, and to keeps the likes of Jay Jay, Ivan and Youri at the club to form a dynasty 2. ASTON VILLA - To get to the Carling Cup final was a major achievement for us and a signal that we had arrived. To get there in style like we did was great. 3. PRESTON PLAY OFF FINAL - Just to get to the play-offs that season was magnificent with the players we had, such as Ian Marshall and Franck Passi! It was a great day and the boys finally delivered the club back to where we deserved to be. Goals 1. JAY JAY OKOCHA v VILLA CUP SEMI - What a great free kick from the master which sailed into the top left corner. I have yet to see a better free kick. 2. JOHN McGINLAY v SWINDON COCA COLA SEMI - Sent me into dreamland with the winner and I couldn't believe I was going to watch Bolton in a major final for the first time in my life. 3. FABIAN DE FRIETAS v READING- Thought we had had blown it when we went two nil down but Fab's equaliser sent me into dreamland and into the Prem, and I left with tears of joy. Disappointments 1. WATFORD PLAY-OFF FINAL - Was left very dissapointed with the performance as we didn't seem to want it. I thought our dreams of the Prem had gone, but they had just been delayed. 2. BORO CARLING CUP FINAL - Was upset about the ticket allocation business and even more upset with the performance of our "major players". Thought my world had been shattered but the lads picked me up with the season's finish and have carried on all the way into Europe. 3. THE F.A CUP 2004 - If only Sam had put out a half decent team v Tranmere who knows where we could have gone. Thank goodness I was in the warmth of my London home rather that on the freezing cold banks of the Reebok that night. Signings 1. Sam Allardyce 2. Youri Djorkaeff (I would say that) 3. John McGinlay 4. Gudni Bergsson Cock ups 1. Djibril Diawara 2. Carling Cup Tickets 3. The Rivaldo Fiasco Comments It really is a rollercoaster ride supporting the Whites but would it really be Bolton if it wasn't like that? To support the big teams must be boring when you win all the time. When the Whites do something it makes me really proud to stick two fingers up at the critics.
