Would a player like him join a club us on a pay-as-you-play basis? Would he be stupid enough to sign for us on that sort of deal, what if he picks up a career-ending injury? Would a player of his profile do such a thing? There has been a lot of reports on this lately.

With Keane reportedly thinking the 10m price for him is a little steep, I very much doubt at this point in his career he has to worry about that aspect. Many folks on this board would like him on a loan basis. If loaned out I doubt it will be done until late August. In the mean time Fergie is looking for the highest bidder. I am pretty sure there are several takers out there, but just not at the price he is asking.

I don't know how the insurance would work for a player on a pay as you play basis works. I am sure there is something that can offer the player some protection. In the end I guess it comes down to how much he wants to play again. He always has the option to take a low salary with high performance bonuses.

Has Saha become a born-again christian who is willing to surrender all worldly goods?

Big fat contract and we get him, but otherwise, its not worth bothering with....

Striker isn't a priority right now (based on what we have working out, and the Bolton method of play). If anything we need to think cover for central defence and midfielf creativity. It's been discussed to distraction and the team playing as a unit is far more important than just a "Roy of the Rovers" type one man band show. With Elmander and Davies as front men and the likes of Taylor, Nolan, Muamba etc, capable of scoring, and given the quality of the big-guns attack of teams far richer than us, we won't get there on fire-power alone, but by containing the opposition, winning something in midfield and striking on the break. Add set pieces and you more or less have the Bolton game. (with improved performances in all areas, hopefully).

In N.A.. College players who will definitely be drafted into the professional ranks can take out an insurance that guarantees them a good payoff if they get a career threatening injury during their final year of college. I have no idea how it would work in this situation but I am sure something is available.

Well it would appear that old Beetroot's forgotten all about him. Shocked

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is set to give Hull target Fraizer Campbell a Premier League chance because he is short of strikers.......... "We do not have any strikers apart from Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez and Frazier plays in that area."

Confused

To be honest, you're welcome to him.

Don't doubt he can score goals, but his head is fecked and I don't see that changing...
