Agreed

But he owes me the chance to let him know how much he meant to me

And nobody forces anybody to attend

I'd say we owe him a debt of thanks for 14 years at the club. Not many football clubs have players who have stayed as long as Jaaskelainen and Gardner (and soon to be Davies). They've been with us through relegation, promotion, two European campaigns, cup runs, relegation dogfights and management upheaval.

They're as much Wanderers as we are and we should be allowed to celebrate that. Short of us all popping round to his house for a brew and a doobie, a testimonial gives us a chance to say goodbye, thanks, and cool runnings.

Now there's an inflammatory statement. Have they bought season tickets? That's the only measure of dedication, as any fule kno...

Knackers me too, then. Having said that, if I'm not dedicated to the Whites does that mean I can toddle off and support someone more, erm, successful? :D

I feel like a great weight has been lifted DSB. Thanks man, thanks a lot. Now, who should I pledge my fickle support to this next season in the Barclays Premier League?

Loads of Gooners are renting out their season tickets this year, apparently.

Attractive though that proposition is, I'll pass.

I couldn't justify paying out half my annual salary on a season ticket.

Besides, I did say a more successful team. Last time I checked you have as won as many trophy's as us these last six years.

Arsenal and I are very unhappy that you don't think we are worth it. Sniff.

Would love to see him get a testimonial, remember him signing and being given Nathan Blake as a minder to help him adapt to UK, makes his durability pretty impressive.

Agree with this totally. Brings a lump to your throat.

Good luck Bibi

I could look at this all day on the official FB page :D

My all time favourite player.

Wish they'd tell us more about his testimonial.

At the BWSA (sorry the new "mybwsa") meeting last night, attended by a massive turnout of 39, Gardner said that the club had granted him a testimonial and that he was trying to sort it out and was hoping to play a Jamaican team, but as yet no dates had been agreed.
On another note after the "takeover a couple of seasons ago (or was it last season there's been so many changes at the BWSA) the guys who had the great ideas, attracted upwards of 250 to meetings are now but a distant memory and we're back to the 30 or so people who attend reguarly- shame really.
