:D, mooy is really living up to his potential of one day being a "world beater" by moving from a rubbish SPL club to what i expect will be a rubbish A league club

It's fairly rubbish already.

They've been put together by FFA at the last minute out of sheer desperation. They start pre-season next week with eight players signed and no training facilities. They're limited to 85% of the $2.4m salary cap and can't get any big-money players.

The FFA is funding them directly out of its contingency fund for three years and if they can't flog them off to a consortium by the end of that period it's a death knell for them and quite possibly the A-League financial model.

So no pressure, Aaron.

Ten, and they added West Sydney because Gold Coast's billionaire tw*t owner ran his club into the ground.

im ceetain that gold coast united had only been around for like 1 season, melbourne heart is another example of a quite new team, i prefered it when there was just the original 8 teams, who do you support out there by the way

Gold Coast had three seasons, they nearly came top in the 1st but their shitty crowds and feck owner started to bite, 2nd season they were shite and 3rd was spent openly baiting FFA into cancelling their licence.

Heart have been around two seasons now, doing OK, they've got a great grudge derby with Victory going already. Eight teams got boring, I think it should stabilise at 10 for a few years and then add two more.

I am a Sydney FC fan (don't sit in the Cove, however) since the start.

Nah, clubs struggle here because it's hard to win and keep crowds in a competitive sporting market, not because they're vehicles for swaggering frauds. Rangers situation reminds me more of what we had back before the restructure.

In Bolton"s youth set up being labelled the "next big thing" while we were in the premiership.

On the strength of two goals against mighty Guam and Chinese Taipei (aka Taiwan, it's complicated) in the qualifiers for the highly prestigious and not at all a waste of time EAFF East Asia Cup?

I'd say no.

He's doing alright for West Sydney but not stellar and he's way down the NT pecking order for the big fixtures.
