sounds like a fuel-pump issue or a blocked/knackered catalytic converter (haven't you had CAT problems before with your plumes of smoke??)

(also - make sure nobody has shoved a potato up your exhaust!)

They came to collect it this morning and told me they suspect that they might "Have it a while...."

Used it for the airport run this week and appear to have made matters worse. First a second light came on (the shape of an engine) and then a third one (the shape of a corkscrew).

Still, my boss is letting my have his Q7 for the weekend, so that'll be me pimping around near Morrison's, bitches in the front, bitches in the back, drum n bass BOOOOOOMING out da woofers :D

I'm betting you'll find places you need to go to when normally you'd stay home.

Oh well, in that case...i'm out of ideas!
I thought it was a bit clever of the manufacturers to put in a light especially for the unlikely event that someone drops a corkscrew in their engine :?

I thought that it might be suggesting - you've buggered the engine up - have a drink before opening the estimate! :?

When my engine light comes on and the manual says get it serviced immediately, I call the dealer. They say unscrew the gas cap (petrol or actually diesel to you) and then screw it back - if the light doesn't go away in three days call us. It always goes away. Now if I'd had a corkscrew idiot light , I wouldn't have had to call them...

June. Utter shite. Hasn't stopped raining all day. It was warmer on Boxing Day.

Grrrrrrrrrrr...

Still, I spose it keeps the hay fever at bay.

Thoughtless idiots.

Took the dog out today even though it was lashing it down. He doesn't understand "no" when it comes to walks. Rain was rushing down the gutters and this xxxxxxx woman driver turned into a side road. No other cars in sight and nothing parked across the road but she just had to lash past me six inches from the kerb and through a mini Lake Windermere, most of which finished up all over me and the dog. I was already wet but the proverbial "drowned rat" wasn't even close. I do hope she heard what I shouted after her.

ignorant cow...

I have to admit it, though - it is VERY tempting, but I have never done that yet...

at a pinch you could also get done for it...

Highway Code:

Rule 144

You MUST NOT

drive dangerously
drive without due care and attention
drive without reasonable consideration for other road users

[Law RTA 1988 sects 2 & 3 as amended by RTA 1991]
