Away to Crewe, Morecambe, Tranmere and Portsmouth - not the most inspiring of lists, it must be said. Presume more will be announced.

In addition to the four above matches, Bolton Wanderers will also be playing in six other pre-season friendlies.

These will be at Bamber Bridge (Friday 20 July, kick-off 7.30pm), Radcliffe Borough (Friday 27 July, kick-off 7.30pm) and Chorley (Tuesday 31 July, kick-off 7.30pm).

In August, there will be further fixtures against Barrow (Friday 3 August, kick-off 7.30m), FC Halifax Town (Wednesday 8 August, 7.45pm kick-off) and Accrington (Saturday 11 August, 3pm kick-off).

Would expect all of those with the possible exception of Accrington will be 'Bolton Wanderers XI'.

Why the chuffing hell are we going all the way down to Portsmouth for a pre-season friendly?

Presumably there is a pre-season foreign tour somehwere as the dates for the "first 11" ones look very late to me.

Trashmere sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Prenton pricks wound up by their fans...great money spinner for those wankers as well. He had best not send first teamers out against non league cloggers again.

Just realised that out of the entire list, I've only not been to Crewe, Portsmouth and Accrington....and I can't go to any of those games! Morecambe is a nice little ground though.

Thankfully the club has seen fit not to return to Newport County.

PS I Believe the club were all set to play in America in Pre-Season. Not sure if that's still got the go ahead or not.

They are off to USA...

The Bolton News posted an article they quickly removed, bar the description.
