Paper talk has us in for Jordan Rhodes, this is typical OC, when in the Prem buy from the Championship, now in the Championship buy from League 1. At this rate in a few seasons we wont be able to buy anyone because there'll be no-one below us to buy from! Buy up you fu.cking m.ong.

I get your point but it's a bit of a ridiculous example. And don't worry Jordan Rhodes won't be coming here, I imagine he's bypassing Bolton heading straight to the Premier league. Whether he starts immediately or not is a different matter.

No he isn't. League 1 means nothing, our entire squad would be class in league 1. Until he's played in a top league he's nothing. Or perhaps we should buy Jamie Vardy from Fleetwood Town, 31 goals last season in the conference, he's proper quality FACT ITK. You don't even know how much skillz he got.

What makes you think he's so good. This League 1 player. It's bloody Nugent all over again, how many people fall for this: "he's done well in a lower league so he must be awesome pay him millions, lucky to get him" complete crap. Alladyce brings success to clubs by doing the exact opposite; buying up, he bought Prem players (mainly ours) for West Ham's Championship team and *shocker* got them promoted. It's not rocket science.

Two words............Jon Stead.

We are not after Rhodes anyway, we bought Sordell I guess for proven championship goals. We need to strengthen at the back, not up front!

Are you just going off stats or have you seen him play? I went to the Galpharm other day to watch the semi final with MK Dons (free tickets from uni) and he was a class apart in touch and build up play. Of course he also knows where the goal is, something you cannot seem to teach. Many players have made the jump from the lower leagues to the big boys (Beckford, 10 goals for Everton in 10/11, Holt got 15 in the league this campaign) sure it's not a exact science but you'd be stupid to overlook all of them.

Yeah, now that NRC has left we are desperatly short of quality in center midfield too, need someone who can tackle and hold the ball, but who knows what we'll get with Coyle. Real blow losing NRC and Weater.

What do you mean talk sense, what is it your missing? Are you really from Turkey and don't understand my English? I'll try to spell it out. My point is that just because someone has done well in a lower league doesn't mean he's a suitable player for us. I then used this logic in a sarcastic way to *pretend* to suggest that, using this logic, we should buy players who have done well in even lower leagues, like Vardy has done in the Championship. It's the same as saying we should buy Robbie Williams because he did well in that charity game. It's not a serious statement.

I'm missing nowt, where as you my friend are missing an apostrophe and an e. That's sarcasm, by the way.
What you're trying to say is because a player is in a lower league they are not good enough to step up? Tell that to Wenger about Walcott and Chamberlain and countless other managers who over the years have bought lower league players. Not all make it but plenty do. I still say talk sense.

How good would our players look in that league? we'd tear it appart and win by a cricket score every week.

I'm not going off stats or play or anything other than he's a League 1 player, i honestly don't even know what he looks like. He may well have played superbly in that game i'm not disputing that either, actually the fact that he's scored so many in league 1 proves to me unquestionably that, at that level he is a class apart. There is of course the chance he would do well for us or even a Prem team it has happend before. But if you want success your transfer policy should be to "buy up" ours is to "buy down" and has failed completely. To take risk after risk on lower league players none of which have come good for us so far, the odds are just stacked against it and it's piss poor management. I of course want us to buy a lower league player who turns out to be class but seriously how often does that happen?

Ian Woan was another one, who IMO did fantastically well.

No that's not what i'm saying, i'm saying it's very unlikely and therefore a waste of money. Don't you see the massive flaw in you argument? If Wenger and every other Prem team are all looking at the lower leagues what makes you think we'll get the diamond in the rough that they all missed?? That's another reason it's so unlikely. OMG grammar mistake
