If you are picking up tips from here Owen, like stop being soft with the players and change things, heres one for for buddy boys in the background;

The game last night reminded me of numerous training sessions I have taken part in over the years of attack v defence. We would line up with a back four and a midfield four and for 45 minutes or so defend against wave after wave of attacks.
The hardest thing to do in football is score a goal and it’s amazing how many times we came off the training field having not conceded.
The key is communication, keeping your shape, making sure the distance between each unit is right and not being dragged out of position.

Well they had a couple of corners, which is always a likely this season.

One shot across the goal past Boggers left post - which was a bit wider than it looked first time around...

I dunno, with the benefit of hindsight, I wouldn't have crapped it when we went 1-0 down. :-)

I went to the game last night and my throat is still hurting now! The home fans were very quiet apart from when they scored and when they were shouting abuse at their own manager.

Anyway, I've seen us play some awful football but the first 45mins was up there with our worst, you know when heskey turns your defense and has a free shot on target that things aren't going well. Bringing on SKD made a huge difference. Ryo was doing pretty much nothing apart from getting tackled every time he tried to skin someone.

As soon as they went ahead i thought that was that, but credit to the team, they responded like a boss! Petrov's penalty get's better every time i see it. And Eagles has certainly stepped up in the past couple of games so let's hope he isn't injured for long.

I just hope we take our second half into the sunderland game and get another 3 points. COYW!!!!!

No was absolutely baffled, him and KD were playing well together and we were looking like we could get a 3rd goal. You only change something if its not working, to bring Klasnic on who is seriously unfit yeah might get on the end of a loose ball in the box but didn't close down anybody which then gave the Villa defenders time on the ball to bring it into midfield, would of understood if Sordell would of come on in place of Ngog because he has pace like Ngog and would of closed down the Villa defenders, our attacking threat went when Ngog went off but i do think we deserved the 3 points and Eagles had a brilliant game just hope he can keep it up for the last 4 games. Great support from us lot too, we were there 12 man. Didn't enjoy the journey down or back home, some of you will know what i'm going on about if you were on coach 5.

Not strictly true. You also change things if players are dead on their feet, or getting there fast. Ngog did 45 minutes of loan striker chasing, then 30 or so of running off Davo, eventually bagging a goal (and I don't mean 'eventually' in terms of only that game). He was spent. Still trying hard, but spent and we needed a change.

I keep re-living the Ngog goal in my head though. What a moment.

I know i nearly passed out i was still celebrating the Petrov goal then Ngog fires us in front, it was too much for me ha! and what a brilliant team goal.
