If OC says "Barclays Premier League" one more time....... God help me

He says it in every interview. Is he on Barclays payroll??? I never hear anyother manager giving the Premier league its full title

A lot of them do, but we just don't pay as much attention. They're asked to, very nicely, and Owen is a generous, accommodating soul.

They're told they have to, is my understanding.

Brendan Rogers and Alan Shearer said it last night on MoTD2, it's a bit annoying but not that fussed

I'd rather hear it again next season whilst still in the division rather than the one below it.

Knowing how the sports industry works we probably get paid per second of visual coverage of one of our players taking in some form of sports drink. Every time our players walk off the pitch someone dashes out to hand out the drinks.

It'll be the same with our Owen saying Barclays Premier League and the Match of the Day lads/Sky lads and lasses calling St James' Park the 'Sports Direct Arena'.

Off topic: You watch the next time Rory McIlroy or Lee Westwood wins a golf tournament and they're giving an interview, they'll scratch their head about 5 or 6 times to get their huge watch in shot to please the makers - even if they didn't wear the watch whilst playing (with it being too bulky) one of their agents will nip in and put it on their wrist prior to the cameras rolling. It's ludicrous, but it's the way of the world.

I'm perversely looking forward to Coyle's NPower Championship soundbites next season. :| :|

I must admit to chuckling at your comment, Barr Hill, given that undoubtedly you always refer to our stadium, as does the rest of the football world, as "The Reebok".

It's a shame that he didn't say "bollocking" in the same sentance as Barclays Premier League.
