If muamba comes back it will be fantastic but dropping NRC for holden when hes been such a key player doesnt feel right personally

Would much rather twinkletoes was dropped and either stuey sits behind the striker or we just play 3 in the midfield with him and NRC pushing forward occasionally

Bollocks to what feels right get Stu back in as soon as he's fit

Sentiment aside, in a 4-2-3-1 OC's first choice midfielders would be NRC and Holden. He didn't sign Muamba and, as threads on this forum detailed and proved, often overlooked him this season to the detriment of results.

NRC isn't half the player I expected in August.

I'd have him dropped everytime given the options.

Pointless argument anyway isn't it.
Once all in question are fit & available they probably won't be playing for BWFC

Can't believe how little respect a decent player is getting. But for him the midfield would be in a real mess right now.

That isn't saying much.
In my own opinion he has been poor bar about 4/5 games.
That isn't good enough - for me.

Count me in with the people who don't rate Reo-Coker. He must be doing something to make so many people think of him highly, but I just don't see it. I remember him being labelled Nigel Medi-oker on here when he played for Villa/West Ham, and for me that's pretty apt. A good leader and a strong character, but otherwise a completely unambitious and average footballer.

IIRC Holden and Muamba were two of the best tacklers in the league last season when we were good, so if it's at all possible they'd be my two midfielders behind Mark Davies.

Nige has looked premier league whilst everyone else bar cahill, bogdan, muamba (when played) and possibly ricketts have been championship. He is mediocre - mediocre premiership. Better than the rest of that midfield.

Same. Have never rated him and as you say, Nigel Mediocre.

Just to add - I really WANT to rate the guy. I do my bloody best. I even try to blank out the bad stuff and focus on the good stuff.
Doesn't work though. He just hasn't been good 'enough' for me.

THAT Liverpool performance proved what he can do on his day. His day hasn't been frequent enough though.
Hope he's got a handful left for the season. Would really help.

How the feck has he not been good enough? Not 'get it' maybe, he is an average central midfielder at this level. Being average makes him our best by a country fecking mile. Player of the year by miles. And this from a forum that seems to have Mark Davies as a future England player. Genius.

Coker was better in the first 2/3 of the season. He's tapered off a bit but he's been a massive presence in some of our games. Does a thankless task almost as well as Muamba.

Seriously !!?? You would prefer to see Pratley, M.Davies and Tuncay as our midfield for the run in ??? Unbelievable.

Reo Coker has been our best central midfielder over the season which isnt saying much as he is barely prem standard

Although I usually rate him I couldn't get my head round him. Thought he might do a job on Sigurdsson but we seemed happy to let him roam free, he was also dire in his pass selection getting forward although with Mark Davies pretty much going missing the last couple of games maybe I am being a tad critical.
