TANGO: Rodney Marsh, as you well know, was an Australian wicket keeper (whom I never met.) David Mckay was a well known Australian racing driver who used to live a kilometre or so from me and owned the local Ferrari concession - Scuderia Veloce - in a Sydney suburb called Pymble - or Gordon (depending where you drew the border line.)

I did meet Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jack Brabham and a few other drivers who took the time to visit Australia and New Zealand back in the 'sixities for the Tasman Series. Mind you, these 'meetings' were just passing greetings as I ambled through the pit area after sneaking into this most sacrosanct area of a race course. Naturally it was 'Mr Brabham', 'Mr Hill' and so on. Perhaps it was the fact that I had a camera bag slung over one shoulder and a camera in hand that resulted in me not being chucked out. I don't know.

Other than that I'm somewhat bereft of famous path crossings.

Danny Boyle, I suppose. Maybe a 1,000 times or so.

Danny Boyle ... Pope ... Danny Boyle ... Pope. mmmmm .... such a dilema.

Oh & Paul Mariner a few 100 times as I played with him.

By 'we' I mean several people contributed to the topic

And not a chance Bishy, I may like to see Bolton do well but Arsenal is where my heart is and always will be.

Hundreds of them, and they're all wankers apart from Alligator Chris, Martin Accelerator, and Siouxsie. Some of them are the biggest wankers that ever roamed the Earth such as Pete 'Valentino' Burns - tw*t.

More recently according to the BEN he was famous (and had his picture in the paper) as Our man in Plovdiv (or some similar locale).

Err, 'Winners' is the word I believe you're looking for, young lady :P

And my famous (well, in Bolton anyway) friend is holding the cup.
