A hats off to the paramedics who performed CPR on him. They undoubtedly saved his life. Bloody hard work and all. Buy those guys a pint.

Can't say how chuffed I am about Moo's miraculous recovery - don't know (and don't really care) how it happened - just so glad it did. One thing puzzles me though - do the doctors always carry on trying to resuscitate people for more than 80 minutes? I had assumed they would stop much sooner than that.

Believe they do as long as there's still uncoordinated electrical activity in the heart, the idea of the defib as I understand it is to stop all that so the natural electrical rhythm can begin again (drugs help here too)

On the telly they use the defib when the patient is flatlining but that's not the way it works in practice I believe

Bear in mind I'm just a layman.

I spoke to a nurse yesterday who told me she has seen CPR continue for 4.5 hours with 8 people taking turns to do it.

I spoke to one yesterday who said she'd never seen anything like it..

In fairness, she wasn't actually a nurse... Just a prostitute dressed like one.

The whole conversation was a bit of a turn off to be honest

Truly ... actually did "LoL" then.

Working from home, fortunately.

Hoping the good news continues. The lack of news is good news at this point I suspect.

Will say that I prayed an awful lot more than usual these past days.
