Aha, thank you. A while ago I was actually trying to work this out, found the walking calculator but nothing to do with adding weight or not. I'm not too bothered about the caleries in themselves but it's interesting. It feels like putting a load across your shoulders while you walk works the core in some way but I've no info on that other than what pops into my head.

Have half my bodyweight in Ferrero Rochet to run off this evening now. :?

Hmmm. Ran for exactly 30 mins but only achieved 4.82Km. Is it possible that I'm not driving myself as much as I should in the knowledge that I'm not trying to prove anything to myself now? I dunno. It's a bit disappointing. :?

I did, Willy, yeah. Hoped it wouldn't have made that much difference. Salutary lesson I suppose.

Will put one in on Friday morning and see how that goes.

How's it going there? You on the mend?

I'll probably do one in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Just not sure which one yet, trying to fit it around these long runs. I tell you, signing up for a marathon takes over your life :?

Am thinking about doing Hove Park Park run - so how does it work? Do you have to register on the website?

Aye GG. Easy peasy. Just go on and register, then print off the sheet of barcodes. Cut one out and take it to the parkrun of your choice. They give a beginners briefing before it starts re- the course and whatnot. You even get a brew and a KitKat at the end, too :)
