Well, yeah.

Admittedly everything he's made after that have been complete home-runs, but I wasn't particularly fussed with it.

The Time Machine, that was shite. Memento is an absolute classic, in my opinion.

Fever pitch is pretty good (as said not a patch on the book) but it's about a time when Arsenal could win the league so it's incredibly dated. If you can suspend your belief, you might like it

Its shit. As in more shit than Bourne.

Not helped by Colin Firth pretending to like football "Oh Mr Darcy, I do declare that Arsenal's aforetoomentioned offside trap was decidely aggressive. Now rip off my bodice and ravage me, if you please."

Etc

Well, I enjoyed it .... though the book was better and the 'sister' book, 'High Fidelity' even bette.

Then, the thread title is "Films You Hate, But Other People Rate" after all.

At Whitney Houston's funeral he was magnanimous enough to concede that anyone could have played his part in The Body Guard. He didn't say including a piece of 2 bi 4, but we all know he was thinking it.

Oh really? And what genre's this? :conf:

I think it must be the genre of films that take a really good set of books, and turn them into something completely superficial and Lara-Croft-a-like.

Bourne should have been more like Harry Palmer or Tinker Tailor, but no. This Hollywood, so remove all content and add some large expolsions.

There sorted.

There's more bodice-ripping in Andy Pandy than Pride and Prejudice LK. Bad example. Oh, and Colin Firth is a brilliant actor IMO.

I'm talking about that Arsenal pandering monstrosity known as Fever Pitch, with Mr Darcy playing the lead.
