OK - so it all kicks off tomorrow...

3 totally new caps in the starting lineup for England - and I have to say I am genuinely excited to see how that pans out... young, in-form, hungry players, proven at Premiership level - getting their chance on the international stage..

proper clearout - new captain - new playing style... could be awesome - could be a DISASTER!!!

lest anyone forget - we actually WON it last time....

england team:

Ben Foden; Chris Ashton; Brad Barritt, Owen Farrell, David Strettle; Charlie Hodgson; Ben Youngs; Alex Corbisiero, Dylan Hartley, Dan Cole; Mouritz Botha, Tom Palmer; Tom Croft, Chris Robshaw (captain), Phil Dowson.

Kick-n-Clap. No thanks.

Yep, looking forward to it - a genuine feeling that we're in a new era.

I think that we will get beat against Scotland in a very poor tight match.

Not expecting great things to happen as a new team needs building.

Worried. Very, very worried.

It could be like Sammy Lee's brave new world.

Then again, as far as clearouts are concerned, it probably needed doing.

I am both very worried and very optimistic at the same time! I'm leaning towards the optimistic and the new boys will play out of their skins and Ashton will get quick ball and be devastating... but then again the scots could grind us down with their dour kicking game...

one things for sure - it'll be fecking freeeeeeezing up there - rather them than me!!!

Fraid not. It's actually warmer than London here at the moment. The forecast is for a fair bit of rain before the match though.

And as such I've forwarded your name to be added to that nice Mr Salmond's Little Book of Persona Non Grata.

Scotland A 35 - England Saxons 0..

Taking the little 'un to the Cinema this morning might actually end up being the highlight of the day.

In fact when I add in Bolton being away at Norwich and England and Pakistan, I might just go back to bed until the snow melts..

Raining at Murrayfield?

Another factor swings in favour of the jocks.

In the end there's not been that much rain here, in fact the sun's come out now. Cold and windy though.

It's a sad sight seeing all the talent sapped out of the rugby league lads who play this 'sport'.

Then again, if I were a Union fan, I'd feel pretty embarrassed that this time next year half of the England squad will be former RL players. Shows how talented their lot are.

Dire game, unsurprisingly.

Yawn. Go look at how many ex RU players dominated the RL playing for Widnes in the 1980's and go feel embarrassed.

Martin Offiah for example played for Rosslyn Park RU until he was about 20/21.

Gone on for years.

I like both codes and played both. I feel not one iota of embarrassment.
