Having said that, we have plenty of options with Sordell, Miyaichi and possibly Ream in the squad if things do need freshening up.

Should be goals in this one if you consider the defensive records of both teams, and I do wonder whether Norwich's bubble has burst. With that I'm going to predict a 2-1 victory, so obviously we're DOMED :hang:

Something to note: do not get into a confrontation with a Norwich player, they'll fall over clutching their face and you'll get sent off.

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed they were a pretty cynical shower earlier on this season. Fairly well versed in the dark arts for a newly promoted club. Haranguing the ref, playacting and plenty of rough stuff that went unnoticed.

As with Arsenal, I'll tek' a point. Difficult place to go and get a result. BUT if we play like we did against the Arse, we are more than capable of coming away with three survival-bolstering points.

We have 6 home games against bottom half sides to come...

Those are the imperative ones for me. Norwich away, a difficult game, where far better sides than us have come unstuck. After a monumental effort against Arsenal mid-week?

I think a point would be excellent. We'll probably struggle for that given their home form.

As was pointed out yesterday, we're only one Blackburn/Wolves win away from being right back in it. A few home wins against bottom half sides will not be enough.

I can't back it up with anything as convincing as facts or statistics (that's ok on a forum; it's what they're for, right?), but I have a sneaking suspicion that Norwich are going to really struggle in the second half of the season.

The only things I can point to are the cases where newly-promoted teams, initially firing on all cylinders, struggle after Christmas. Blackpool, Burnley and Hull being the obvious three.

This season, I think QPR's money has saved them. They haven't bought spectacularly, but have enough firepower to see them right. I thought Swansea might buckle, but against Chelsea they looked as capable as ever. So for me (tenuous, I know), that leaves Norwich.

I think we'll find out a lot on Saturday. 3-0 against Sunderland last time out for them, and us on something of a run. A win is not inconceivable. A draw I would take, but if the Norwich capitulation I have in mind is to materialise, then we're the ones to start it. I sort of think we will.

Head says 1-1, but that's not my prediction. We'll win 2-0, and it will be comfortable. Ngog and Eagles, both before the 60 minute mark. Then we'll see it out. (They'll hit a post in the last 10).

So out of that lot we need to probably get 6 wins or equivalent. I think 38 will be enough this season. May even be less.

Norwich away for me is not "crucial". It probably comes in the "games not beyond us" category. A point would be good.

Said it before, so again: We've got fifteen cup finals in front of us and need to forget easy or winnable games; there won't be any unless we play top-notch stuff. Treat the Wigan and Woves etc as top four stuff. If we play football, keep the energy going and stop thinking anybody, that's anyboy, is going to gift us three points, then we should be okay. Look at some of the shock results so far and it's obvious we take nothing for granted. I remember a Hull supporting workmate telling me when they arrived in the Prem, "If we can beat the easier teams like Bolton,Wigan etc, we'll stay up and go on." Yeah, okay mate.
