There may be some light at the end of what has been a very very long and very very dark tunnel.

Beating Everton is our first result against a half decent side (other than a tired, tired Stoke side) it demonstrates that we are capable of picking up some surprise results, which we will need.

Owen has at last switched to a system that fits what we have and our abilities. If he sticks with it, it gives us a fighting chance.

We still have Wigan, Blackburn, QPR, Swansea, Fulham and West Brom to play at home.

If we can pick up the odd surprise result somewhere and get a decent tally from those games, then we're right in the amongst it.

We have to turn the home form around because away from home doesn't look too easy from now on....

We have LCY and Mears potentially to return..for me we also need to sell Cahill asap and use the money well, loan one if possible as well.

We have a chance, lets at least give it a proper go, even if we fall a bit short....

I've spent months furious that we were throwing away our premiership status.

If Owen has finally woken up to the realisation that we can't just play 4-4-2 week in week out and hope it suddenly works, and the players have woken up to the dire situation we're in, then great.

Lets hope thats the case.

If we show some fight and battle like last night then thats all we can ask for as long as the manager gives the team every chance to get results then thats all we can do.

Up till now thats not been the case, I hope Everton is a real turning point. We still have a chance, might not be a huge one but its still there. Lets grasp it this time is all I'm saying!

So we're keeping Coyle now, yes?

It's given us a fighting chance. We probably won't get anything next time out at OT against a team who'll look to bounce back, so we'll be needing Wolves, Blackburn, Wigan especially to lose.

Arsenal at home is still a game I believe we can get at least a point from if we're at the races.

Wiggin have City, Wolves have Spurs away.

Blackburn are at home to Fulham.

I'd have got rid months ago.

But they haven't and he's still here.

Do I think he's done a good job? No.
Do I think there are managers out there who'd have given us much more of a chance? Yes.

But its irrelevant, I still want us to survive, whatever decisions were/weren't made.

I think we can't stay up with Robinson and Steinsson playing full backs, and just can't understand why are they playing for this team.Decent cross from these two from time to time would be good, but noo...

That Mears injury, along with Stu and Lee brought us more problems than we can imagine. And if Cahill go,we are one step to Championship.

This team is good enough to play in PL,I'm sure of that.I actually liked last 20 minutes against Macc in FA Cup,it reminded me of our best games in last season.
