So, what makes you think Martin O'Neil would have come to a sinking ship like ours that can offer him virtually nothing, over the club he supported as a boy, on a much more stable financial and league footing with a vastly superior fanbase?

It was certainly reported.

I never felt it was likely to be actually true, but it sure was reported in the gold old BEN.
