when do Savis and Ricketts return??

Ricketts kept banging on about returning for the Swansea game(which is the 29th October)- think he last said it a week or two ago so still on course- at least in his own head.

He'd really need to be back in full training within the next couple if weeks if he has a chance for that though.

edit: just checked...

M Alonso Metatarsal Fracture 15th Oct 11
T Mears Broken Leg Mar 12
C Lee Broken Leg May 12
S Holden Knee Injury Mar 12
S Davis Knee Injury no return date
S Ricketts Calf/Shin Injury no return date

Arsenal whine about their injuries - but ManU top the injury table:

D Gibson Ankle/Foot Injury no return date
J Evans Ankle/Foot Injury 1st Oct 11
J Hernandez Dead Leg 1st Oct 11
W Rooney Hamstring Injury 23rd Oct 11
C Smalling Groin Strain 1st Oct 11
T Cleverley Ankle/Foot Injury 15th Oct 11
Rafael Shoulder Injury 11th Nov 11
N Vidic Calf Muscle Strain no return date
T Bebe ACL Knee Injury Feb 12

several of Arsenal's are longer-term though...

Pity it's not amputation...

Would probably improve him!

No, 6 months was a mistake. 6 decades.

Full explanation of the Holden injury here. First time I believe we have been given details. Reading between the lines sounds like we may have been given bad advice from the surgeons who put the pins in. Probably would have been best to take them out before he played again, though easy to say in hindsight....given we hoped to get him back in September and such a course of action would have had him out till around Christmas time anyways....

"and the bad news was only conveyed to the player after he woke up from the anaesthetic."

when else would they have done it?

I read "Coyle refuses to play..." and thought he was doing a Tevez.

If it's good enough for Citeh we may as well have a go too.

This blows. But really feeling for Stu. He never got a start for Sunderland(?) due to an injury and went back to the States to play. Finally gets a foothold here, and we all see what he's really capable of, and the poor bastard misses a year.

Snap. First thing I thought when I saw it.

Anyone noticed he's flying back...

Eeek. Even just to have him at the ground would be another big boost on Sat.

He won't play this season. A full pre-season will be best all round. Same, in my view, with LYC, though possibly he will get a few minutes here & there.

Don't expect to see him in a white shirt for months yet (August) but just having him around will be a big thing...

What we were all expecting but Coyle has confirmed this morning that Holden won't be playing any part in this season on the twitter page. Chungy is in light training.

Never thought it'd be anything different.
I'd hazard a guess that he'll be back for pre-season.
