Bolton striker Danny Ward will return to complete his loan spell at Coventry soon after recovering from a hernia problem.

Ward joined the Championship side for a three month loan spell earlier in the season but suffered a hernia injury that required surgery and returned to the Reebok to recover.
However, Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has now confirmed he hopes to have Ward back at the Ricoh Arena soon.
He told the Coventry Telegraph: "We are hoping to get him back soon. I understand he is doing some straight line running up at Bolton as he recovers."
It is unclear yet as to whether the young striker will extend his loan stay at Coventry or remain until his initial loan spell was set to end in December.
It appears unlikely Ward will be able to force his way into the Wanderers side at the moment as Johan Elmander, Kevin Davies and Ivan Klasnic have impressed in recent weeks, while Rodrigo Moreno and Robbie Blake are also competing for a place in the Bolton side, and boss Owen Coyle is keen for the youngster to gain first team experience in the Championship to aid his development.
Ward enjoyed a productive loan-spell with Swindon Town last season and helped the League One side reach the play-off final, where they were beaten by Millwall.

Leeds United have agreed a deal with Bolton Wanderers to keep loan defender Andy O'Brien at the club until January.

The 31-year-old was due to return to the Reebok stadium after Saturday's game at Reading, but will now stay at Elland Road until 4 January.

But O'Brien could stay beyond the new year as his arrival has coincided with an upturn in Leeds' form.

United were unbeaten in the five games O'Brien has played, a run which lifted them to fifth in the Championship.

His contract expires at the end of the season, we'd have been better off hanging on to him and putting him up for sale - we could have seen how much Leeds value him at then.

I presume we could still sell him to them in January - especially if they become favourites for promotion. But do we still need him as CB cover?

In January he can begin to negotiate with clubs in various leagues with a view to leaving on a free transfer. I'd say that we do still need someone like him who will sit on the bench and not rock the boat too much. I doubt he's on massive wages too, but then again he is getting on a bit and isn't the same player as the one who won POY 2 years back.

In other words, I don't know.

Temitope Obadeyi has also extended his loan deal with Shrewsbury until January.
