In time, chum - but not till late August at the earliest, more likely September. Will, of course, inform before we entertain.

Reading this thread made me realise I hadn't bought owt new for a while so on Prufrocks & Brucies recommendations I bought the Counting Crows one (pretty good on first listen) and then went a bit retro - Echo & The Bunnymen and Jesus & Mary Chain greatest hits. Twas a bit shocked to see HMV still asking a tenner each for them  double albums or not

I've recently had a bit of a cd spending spree. There's a company called Zovertsock listing used goods on amazon and they use software to undercut the competition by a penny at a time. This means there's a ton of stuff you can get for 1p (+1.26 postage), so naturally I went a bit mad and ordered a ton of stuff, even relatively rare/out of print stuff for a couple of quid at most. Tried to find out who these Zoverstock people were, and it seems it's that musicmagpie.com that advertise on the telly and buy cd's/dvd's/games from people.

Because Leonard Cohen was seeming a bit too frivolous.

I thought that C4 news might have done more of an article. It was basically 30 seconds worth of 'Jon Lord is the man that pioneered fusing classical and rock music, and he's died aged 71. Now here's Matt Cain talking about the significance of converting some old oil tanks into a performance art arena'. :conf:

Now, I know i said earlier that C4 is becoming my default channel, but news coverage regardless of who brings it will always baffle me as they all seem to have their own agenda. :?

Miles Davies, Sketches of Spain is about as mellow as it gets.
