I wasn't lucky enough to experience football pre Italia 90, I've heard much about the matchday experince back then & can't help but feel I've missed out.

I'd very much like to sample some old school football but feel I need some training before I'll be able to carry it off.

If you're new breed and would like to take part in the retro match day training experience please register your interest here.

Also if you are old school and willing to take retro training modules again please indicate your willingness to take part here.

I suggest the training is broken down into individual modules and would suggest the following topics initially:-

1. Clobber (what to where & what to avoid)

2. How to windmill your way out of bother.

3. How to give the time in a dozen different regional accents.

4. Tunes

Board members are invited to suggest additional training modules.

My matchday experience prior to Italia 90 is exactly the same as now.

Go to the pub, have as many pints as you can, go to the ground, watch match. Or are you trying to get a rumble going?

Is module 4 a music based module or is it a module designed to help one breathe more easily?

Did you stand pre Italia 90?

It's refreshing to hear you say you don't see a difference, I'm always being told the 80's was a golden age for football fans & how modern day football doesn't compare.

Just as a matter of interest did you ever don a dearstalker on a matchday?

BTW I've never been one to start trouble.

Important to be on the right wavelength on the music front.

That's very posh. I had a kahki balaclaver and a leather flying jacket from a captured German pilot shot down by the home guard over Bradley Fold railway . In summer I had a ratter cap, car coat,a Gilbert O'Sullivan pullover, flares and a pair of driving gloves with holes at the back.

I wasn't even born in the 80's sadly, would be good if some of the older heads showed myself & other new breed fans the ropes.

Up to you mate, if you end up the object of derision because of your matchday demeanour PM me and I'll see if I can get you fast tracked throught the retro terrace training course.

Neither. I'm writing a dissertation on WUMs. Would you like to do my survey?
