Polish lad at work brought us in some Tripe soup to try. Haven't yet.

I was out for dinner with Romanians that had tripe soup to start. They encouraged me to try it. I didn't!

Good old English cows eat grass but I'm not sure grass exists in Poland. I think they feed their cows on medium density fibreboard. Polish tripe I'd be wary of. Especially canned.

Honeycomb tripe with salt and vinegar was a regular summer tea about once a week, when we were kids. Couldn't stand the thick-seam stuff though. Doubt if I could face any of it now. Potters tripe and cowheel shop on Halliwell Road. Like the shop, the product's a thing of harder times. Rabbit and peas and ribs were also regular menu items and chicken was a luxury. Tongue and boiled ham were the main salad meats. Lamb was always the weekend joint of choice and I don't remeber ever tasting steak outside a restaurant till I got married. Times have changed drastically.

As for salmon, delightful with salads and for making salmon and cucumber sandwiches. :D

I absolutely love it, however it's cooked/served (although I wasn't keen on the tartare when I had it)

Its my worse - along with cucumbers, even the smell turns my stomach and can't even sit near someone eating it

Quite correct, though LK will be on shortly to tell us how good it is.

Mind you, he's a Megson lover.

I don't dislike salmon, but it's probably my least favourite fish to eat, out of the variety I've tried.
