Only half the races to be shown on the Beeb from next year. Sky will, however, show all of them.

Good.

Love Sky and what they did for cricket coverage.

Channel 4 were miles better at it. Sky didn't want to know when we were shit.

With the BBC's negotiating team, it's probably alternate laps.

Here's to more investment in shite Saturday night programming. :pissed:

It's a shame. Certainly their closed system meant cricket for the masses diminished. Then the need for a quick fix brought the fckg huge glut oif short-over cricket which I'm sure has it's moments, but is a far cry from cricket.

Expect the half & half to move to all Sky in due course then a new format of 10 lap free for alls, 5 per circuit in about 5 years time.

the proposal for next year is to have 8-lap races - and when a klaxon goes they have to stop and swap cars - except one car is removed, so a driver always misses out.. they do all this whilst wearing a massive pair of fake breasts and an amusing hat.

not really fishing - just a little joke... 8)

(perhaps - for clarity's sake - for anyone reading the thread in a gym in gullibletitceistershire - I should add that there isn't really a proposal for next year is to have 8-lap races - and when a klaxon goes they have to stop and swap cars - except one car is removed, so a driver always misses out.. they do all this whilst wearing a massive pair of fake breasts and an amusing hat.)

Mixed feelings because I do enjoy the current coverage and as a Sky subscriber I'm not going to miss out. They've ramped it up this year (probably because it was the last year of the contract) and I like the line up of Jake Humphries, Eddie Jordan though the other two I can take or leave.

Sky have eventually caught up with decent cricket coverage, and the golf coverage is decent too, bar the adverts and breaks from international broadcasters

It's like listening to 6 year olds in a playground. Give it a fooking rest.

See, that's the thing that'll spoil it. The adverts.
Mid fecking race they'll nip off to an ad break and no doubt miss some shithot overtaking operation or a multi car pile up.

Didn't ITV do that a couple of years back on the final corner, just as the race lead changed?
