Track session tonight before rest tomorrow then the tour of Radcliffe. A fell race Thursday, Cross country on Friday then finishing with a trail race on Saturday. All between 5 and 6 miles and my first time racing on 3 consecutive nights. Nervous :|

Talk me through the Tour of Radcliffe?

I did 6 miles tonight so I'll not be fit to crawl, let alone run!

Orienteering toneet.

Still ill, could barely breathe. The impromptu monsoon didn't help either.

5km (as the crow flies) so prob about 6/7k. 45mins. Feckin dreadful.

Gonna ramp up the badminton methinks and concentrate on that for a bit.

I'll be glad to if I get through it!

You seem to be progressing really well CAPS. I can see you doing a half marathon pretty soon at this rate

Mob Match completed lastt might.

9k in muddy, hilly, Trent Park. So tired on the hills I was trying to draw breath in through every orifice.

Managed to beat two club members who finished ahead of me on Sunday and knock 40 seconds off my pb for this course.

Happy Days! :oyea:

Well done G. You are flying at the moment. All that x training is paying off.

1st race of the 'Radcliffe' tour tonight. A fell race up Bull Hill on Holcombe Moor. I'm so glad it was the fell race 1st. 5.5miles long with 1100 ft of climb. I finished in the top half of the field which is always my aim in a reasonable time of 53.07. Very muddy, rocky and great fun. Just hope the legs wont be too sore for the X country tomorrow night.

Completed the Radcliffe 3 day challenge but am stiff as a board right now. Last nights X country was great fun, a 4 lap slog through very muddy trails and parkland. I can't recommend Inov8 Mudclaws enough. It was great overtaking folk slipping all over the place while feeling secure about my own footing.

Todays trail race was tough going though, calves were so heavy it felt like I was running with diving boots on. Didn't do myself justice in this one but just glad to get through it and complete the series.

Well done Harry. Well impressed with that!

Right. I need to kick start my running/general exercising. Am really not happy with how my body looks at the moment - its depressing me. :(

I need to

1. stop eating so much crap and
2. start exercising more again.

I think 2. will be easier to achieve then 1. Football training starts again this week and i am also starting back running with my partner from the club this week as he is now injury free. That will take my current total of 0 exercise sessions a week up to 2 a week - which is a start...

Yes. Well. Hence why i will reduce the amount i eat and exercise more rather then totally give up junk food.

Wish I was as fast as Andy Staveley. Not in the same league as 'The Mexican' sadly.
I didn't hang around for the presentation so missed the photos but got my t-shirt - very nice too. I dont know this Dr chap, cant see his name on the 3 day results

He's aging badly, though :)

Don't think it was Kevin, actually, but it had a look of him

No pic online but the BT article is here

Nice one G. Is the transition just a matter of how quick you can get your trainers on and some shorts over your speedos?

I just got back from doing the toughest fell race I've ever attempted at Turnslack near Littleborough. Jesus it was brutal. 9 miles with 3 shocking climbs. It was a medium category race which I entered as preparation for two long ones that are due in September and October. Right now I cant even think about them. My legs are just two concrete lumps of lactic acid right now.
