Yes, that would be too far! Must be somewhere nearer that you know well and coming back home to hot chocolate and marshmallows would make it even more fun. My dad used to take iron rations (chocolate) on walks to motivate us. Get them to bring their torches as bish said, and make sure you don't lose either of them!

I might take them round to their Uncle Capslock's for a quick game of knock-a-door-run :D

And a nightmare getting away! We'd normally go on the tram but last one is 11pm. Thinking of parking at friends near Sedgley and walking in from there, about 2 miles. Any idea which end of the park the gig is at?

The should've called it Scallyfest 2012.

Was at a wedding last year, if the drugs squad had turned up, all they needed to do was ask the DJ to play Fools Gold and they could've just walked 'em all off the dancefloor.

I'm particularly looking forwards to everyone saying innit, nice one and sorted, again. It's going to be great.

Big gigs are held in the Papal Field. If you're looking at Heaton Park so that the golf course is to the east, then the Papal Field is in the south west corner (does that make much sense?)

A mate of mine went on Friday and apparently the were absolutely bang on form.

Take your best dancing wellies and enjoy.

Gutted i couldnt go - i've had Second Coming on in the car all week and dreamed of watching John Squire stood in front of me knocking out Tears or Driving South, but i'd have settled for Ian Brown's wonky voice belting out I Wanna Be Adored.

Cracking night out! Never seen so many pished and/or drugged people in my life People all around us were falling and sliding in the mud, courtesy of early gates and a hard day bang at it. Lots of pish flavoured bombs hurtling around too. Ian Browns voice wasn't too bad last night. He was badly off key on a couple and having started off he remained off but apart from that I thought he kept up to the others very well. Squires was bang on form as was Reni on drums. Highlights were I Wanna be Adored to open, Fools Gold and This Is The One in't middle and I am the Resurrection to close. Browns voice didn't really matter anyway as the crowd totally drowned him out most of the time. Plan B in support were excellent too!

There were hundreds and hundreds of men lining the exit route and the surrounding roads pissing against the bushes, the walls and anything else in front of them And quite a few women as well. At one point we were walking through four inch deep mud adjacent to a long line of men with their backs to us and realised the mud was piss soaked. Nice! And this was despite the organisers laying on more good quality portaloos than I have ever seen in my life. And all I had was a Magnum ice lolly. Mind you, it was a white chocolate one!

How times have changed. Wasn't too long ago, I recall walking through about 2 inches of piss every half time at lots of sporting events.
