Amiable. Passed the time. No more.

Have got it on my sky planner, looks like a more cultural and less terrible 'Goal'?

not seen Goal. But this is not terrible. and, yes, is an examination of the stranger in a strange land... But it is emotionally low key... And the intended upbeat ending doesn't work (imho).

I've got BBC Three on. Chris Moyles' Comedy Empire has just come on. This is an absolutely skinflint's Live at The Apollo.

Has British broadcasting ever produced a singularly less talented 4uckwit, or a less worthwhile wanker than Chris Moyles? :conf:

New depths get to be plumbed with theis tosser's ever appearance on anything.

UPDATE: It's no surprise that this utter shite is hosted by Moyle's. I'm going to have some malt loaf, some milk, and a relatively early night!

It's that bad that you can feel the audience forcing out the faux laughter. That bad. Seriously. The acts are even more embarrassing than Moyles, and that must take practice, surely?! :conf:

Only caught the black woman going on about her daughter. About as funny as a paint can in the face.
However, the one thing to her credit...whenever the missus and i watch Comedy Store or Roadshow on Sky, and an 'ethnic' comedian comes on, we have a guess at how soon into the routine it takes them to bring it up. And it's usually seconds.
But she didn't last night, i was semi-amazed. But she weren't funny.

Watched Forest Gump for the first time (I know!). I obviously knew the gist, and thought it couldn't possibly be anything other than schmaltzy sentimental drivel. How wrong was I?! What a beautiful film. And a belting soundtrack.

Really hope that this is on the mat when I get home - apparently it's on it's way from LF anyway. Tyrannosaur. Another recco from the good General (100% strike rate so far, Chief, keep 'em coming ;) )

its another gem, very bleak again. but profound, and brilliantly acted. Olivia Coleman was touted for an Oscar nom! on these shores at least. might watch it again myself. Im a particular fan of Eddie Marsan, and hes a right orrible c*nt in this! starts of with a very tough scene involving a dog, this was enough for my mrs to leave the room calling me sick in the head! but stick with it... look forward to your thoughts.

What do you think of Game of Thrones? I love it.

Up to about ep10 s1 of the Wire. Don't get the hype tbh. Sticking with it though.

The Wire is fantastic. Some great characters in it, including Idris Elba's character Stringer Bell, Bubbles, Bunk and McNulty.

The following isn't a spoiler but probably best that I spoiler it just incase -(highlight it) The ending and pay off for the storyline in Season 3 is one of the biggest disappointments in TV history for me.

Started Entourage last night. First three episodes were quality and up there for me as the best start to any series I can remember. Hopefully it will continue.
