Well I think Poole's ok. He's been good backup to Jaaskelainen and has done well in the Carling Cup, this may be his last season but give the guy a chance.

After seeing Andy Jokes today, we should have played KP. Jokesey couldn't do much about the goal's but he could have communicated and not flapped and pissed about trying to think what to do - you're not in the Poxy Leagues now my friend.
Our defence looked shit scared playing in front of him.

Dont be too hard on him.
No one would have saved the second goal.

Maybe he could have come out for the first.
Anyhow, at least we know now that he is not the answer to our quest for a back up keeper.

Its a feckin goalscorer we need. :(

McCann's goal was soft

I dont understand how Sam picked Oakes ahead of Poole. WHY? In the League cup, he plays Poole. Poole is generally the sub when Jussi is playing. So the logical choice? Andy Oakes of course
unless KP still went in the Pure Bar before the match and turned up pissed?

I don't think Oakes could have prevented either of the goals but his command of his area was poor. It was cleart the defence had little confidence in him as they were on top of him a lot of the time.

I don't blame Oakes, he has probably never played with that back 4 being the 3rd choice keeper. I think he did ok, better kicking than Jussi.

And the reason he played ahead of Poole, is that Poole is terrible

I thought Oakes did okay too. He didn't really flap (alla Jussi) and was calm when under pressure. His kicking was straight and long too.

Second goal - he couldn't do anything about - it was a wonder goal after all.

DOn't think you can really blame the guy for the first goal either considering the entire feckin' team fell a sleep for thirty seconds :aveit:

Well to be honest, I shit my pants every time the ball went near Oakes. He did make a couple of good saves though. I'll be glad Jussi's back for Chelsea next week.
