Exazctly. Laziest sod on earth. He was shite in his last 6 months for us knowing full well that he was off at the end of the season, and has subsequently done absolutely nowt since the pay-days rolled in at Chelsea, Pompey and West Ham. If we could get him to play like he did when he was living on no points soup and dust then great - but we/he won't.

Agreed, they could sign me for half that, and probably wouldn't notice the difference.

My theory with Haim is that at Bolton under Allardyce he played in a system designed to protect defenders. Bit like Chelsea did for the champions league semi/final.

Yes he did well but was rarely exposed.

I remember him at left back once or twice being exposed and looking absolutely bobbins.

My suspicion is we made him look better than he was, and since he left he's been found out. Could actually say that of a few players Allardyce had.

OK so how would you explain him being shite in exactly the same system as soon as Chelsea told him to run his contract down then? I think that he was magnificent when he could be arsed. Far be it for me to reinforce a stereotype here but I have it from the horses mouth that Tal Ben is one of the most money orientated men on God's green earth (and is as tight as a gnat's chaff).

He signed for Mourinho. 2 months later Mourinho was gone, and with him some of that cautious protection as demanded by Abramovich who "wanted to play better football".

Haim did not get on with Grant and was quoted as saying "if I'd known Grant was the manager I'd never have gone to Chelsea".

I'm sure you are right about the money stuff. I just don't think he was ever as good a player as was made out.

Opposite is true of Cahill, looked dodgy at times under Coyle's lack of organisation and haphazard defensive tactics with no protection at all. At Chelsea looks the absolute dogs.....

In my head Ben Haim played most of that last six months at left back. Gardner had done his knee (again) and we had him left back and Faye and Meite or Jaidi, can't remember which at CB.

Well I know for a fact that isn't true. Jaidi went before Meite, just can't remember which one we had playing next to Faye then. Meite I think.

Wooooooooooooooooooooah.

It's kind of you to suggest I have more qualifications than most people on here, but I couldn't possibly comment :D.

I'd hate to think how many degrees there are already on this site, plus post grad quals and a 17 (?) year old has the arrogance to claim he has more qualifications ( GCSEs FFS!) than most of us. You have to laugh! 8)

Um. A B.A. You aren't going to win this 'the cleverest' competition :D.

Sir, your schooling system is unfamiliar to me and I am unwilling to make an effort to understand it. :D

I have a Confirmation certificate, a card from my first birthday, a GCSE in Spanish and a First Class Advanced City and Guilds award. All in addition to my 25metre swimming cert, of course. My world record golf-ball-throwing achievemnt is still, as far as I'm aware, also unchallenged.

Any advances?

Now then..Chung Yong?
