Ye what you would expect, thanks for finding it and posting it.

Let's hope we have a great season, get confidence sky high and return back to the big league.

I know other clubs and fans would welcome our return COYWM

I'm Confused :? He states that "We will have one of the largest wage bills in the championship this season to help us achive this aim of promotion". How does that help ?? What it means is if we dont achive promotion will be deeper in the sh!t than some of the other teams ??

I was going to say something quite similar - you get the feeling we've got just this one shot of getting promoted immediately before massive cuts and changes have to happen. To be expected really, but the pressure is on!

He missed off: "And if it doesn't work, Normid have promised you all first go at any jobs available when they build their new premises" .

Didn't we try to retain quite a sizeable budget when we got relegated in 1998 which eventually led to almost going in to administration and the departure of Todd because of the arguments over the budget (and specifically the Frandsen transfer) etc? Seem to be a few parallels unless I'm looking at this the wrong way.

Difference was in 98 already soon as we went down we were in trouble as we had no backer like Davies now.

We had to start selling players immediately but it took a while for decent bids to come in!

He did say one of the biggest wage bills in the CHAMPIONSHIP so that'll be a lot less than in the prem. His other waffle we'll have to wait and see if it works. 8)

So who will have higher ones, seeing as its one of, not the, highest?

I'm guessing Blackburn are screwed as they still have loads of Premier League wages don't they? But who else?

It's a throwaway line to say we are going for it and backing the manager with cash and Eddie is backing the club.

It's the first of June. I doubt at this stage he knows whether we will have the highest or third highest or whatever.

People read too much into things. We will have players that if properly organised should do very well at that level, that is for sure.

Me three. I hope this is Garty's way of pointing out that there's one less excuse the Manager could offer for being a bit shit.

Higher wages tend to mean more success. However, the equation only works if the players are actually worth their high wages.

There's a thread about how our wage bill doesn't represent our league performance, so obviously there's something wrong

lots of lies from PG, how he thinks that paying players more than their worth will make them play better rather than become greedy is worrying
