The lad is pure quality.
Your way off the mark here.
By the way - he is that good, we wont be getting him IMO
No he isn't. League 1 means nothing, our entire squad would be class in league 1. Until he's played in a top league he's nothing. Or perhaps we should buy Jamie Vardy from Fleetwood Town, 31 goals last season in the conference, he's proper quality FACT ITK. You don't even know how much skillz he got.
Are you just going off stats or have you seen him play? I went to the Galpharm other day to watch the semi final with MK Dons (free tickets from uni) and he was a class apart in touch and build up play. Of course he also knows where the goal is, something you cannot seem to teach. Many players have made the jump from the lower leagues to the big boys (Beckford, 10 goals for Everton in 10/11, Holt got 15 in the league this campaign) sure it's not a exact science but you'd be stupid to overlook all of them.
How good would our players look in that league? we'd tear it appart and win by a cricket score every week.
I'm not going off stats or play or anything other than he's a League 1 player, i honestly don't even know what he looks like. He may well have played superbly in that game i'm not disputing that either, actually the fact that he's scored so many in league 1 proves to me unquestionably that,
at that level he is a class apart. There is of course the chance he would do well for us or even a Prem team it has happend before. But if you want success your transfer policy should be to "buy up" ours is to "buy down" and has failed completely. To take risk after risk on lower league players none of which have come good for us so far, the odds are just stacked against it and it's piss poor management. I of course want us to buy a lower league player who turns out to be class but seriously how often does that happen?
