Tickets surely will go fast for this one now. I'd hope so.

Me and Dartisan are driving up from London for it. Just bought tickets now - couldn't get two together in the cheap seats (the petrol means we're investing enough in this game already!).

Hope the place is packed. Anyone have any links to the ticket office and know if it's likely to sell out?

Good to hear and glad you're offering your support. Rumour has it the Blackburn end will be packed also. I will be surprised and disappointed if this doesn't sell out.

Well, now we know the game is on, I guess we'd better start talking football! I think we should stick with a 4-5-1 even with Fab out, I guess it would be tempting to switch to 4-4-2 with Klasnic bagging a winner against QPR and Sordell sniffing about, especially with no direct defensive midfield replacement for Muamba, but in my opinion it's more the formation than the actual players that works so we should be looking at something like this:

--------------Bogs-----------
Steino--Wheater--Ream--Ricketts
--------Pratley---NRC----------
Ryo--------M Davies-----Petrov
-------------Ngog--------------

Attacking wise for the bench I'd have Klasnic, Sordell, Eagles and Tuncay.

It's a worrying thought, I've still not got my head around what that formation was, it's almost as bad as one Megson chose against Burnley that was something like 3-2-0-1-3-1.

Like that plan although I'd happily see alonso out left and ricketts on the right. Would give a bit more balance pacewise across the back.

Was thinking about Davis actually, no idea how he's getting on but could be a timely addition to the side.

As for Alonso going out left and Ricketts right, I don't agree with that. Still unsure on Alonso and he was at fault for the goal against Spurs on Saturday. Think Steinsson has played pretty well recently and deserves his run in the side.

funny, ive been unconvinced by steinsson lately and im usually a fan.s davis is our only other holding midfielder at present. but, against blackburn pratley is a shoe in.I think he's been gradually improving and getting a couple of goals will do him the world of good

If he picks Pratley and leaves Moo out again I'm going to be pretty miffed.

I'm re evuating my impression of Pratley as there is no one else to play there at present. If we all convince ourselves he'sgreat he might play better! Confidence can make a huge difference and he can get the odd goal which is something we lack in the 451.

The problem with Pratley is that Coyle uses him in a way that massively reduces the potential of Mark Davies

So, it's lose, lose

True, Pratley seems to play much further forward even if Mavis is in the team...

Still, goal machine and all that.

Certainly the difference between a scoring-Elmander and the other kind were chalk and cheese. If he's got a happy ability to find the ball in the penalty area then that sort of makes up for some of his other deficiencies.

Main thing is to control the midfield though. Stop Yakubu from getting too many chances.

QPR are losing 2-0.....a little more incentive, if needed.

Maybe that willchange. We all know where Mavis is best. Pratley should be doing the trad box to box arriving late in the area sort of thing.
