Livorno player Piermario Morosini suffered cardiac arrest in a Serie B game today. Good luck to the lad. Hopefully he can have as miraculous a recovery as Fab.

awful to read.

I think we all realise it, but it's easy to forget, just how fortunate Moo was given all the circumstances.

I think the difference between these two was definitely the level of medical attention Muamba received.

So sad. Was discussing exactly this with golf buddy. Defibrillator to hand - cardiac specialist in the crowd. Let us not forget that Muamba went down on the same weekend that an Indian player passed away on the pitch.

Terrible to hear. Commiserations to his family and R.I.P. the lad. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

I've tried to find some sort of forum of theirs, but failed so far.

We got SO many "random" mails on here & little as each is they all help you feel you are being thought of. His family most especially.

If anyone can locate one we should post there.

Feel very sorry for his him, his family and the club. Puts everything in perspective, I dunno what to do but I feel we should do something for them. Both our clubs have been hit with this situation and it's sad to say they weren't as fortunate as us.

Rest in peace

Really sad this. I'm over in Italy at the moment, and was in the San Siro waiting for the Milan game last night. Couldn't understand what was going on when everyone started getting up and leaving 10 minutes before kick off, then found out about this later on. It's getting so much coverage over here, but the press haven't been as sensitive as perhaps we may be. One program showed a continuous reel of other players collapsing in games, including muamba which was pretty sickening.

Anyway, my initial disappointment at missing out on the milan game was soon put into perspective by this. thoughts go to his family and friends at this time

Quite. But this doesn't exactly help :

"An inquiry into Morosini's death will be opened after a parked car belonging to traffic police had initially blocked the ambulance's path into the stadium and its window had to be broken so the car could be moved."

This puts Moos revival into perspective. Our physio / medical team should be honoured for what they did on the pitch and on the way to the hospital.

RIP Morosini.
