Just got round to buying tickets for this one - thoroughly underwhelmed at the prospect (what ever happened to local derbies over the holiday period?), especially now after Saturday's capitulation.
What do folks reckon:-press on regardless/ blood the kids/ forward line of...?

All about next season for me now. Nice to finish with a few wins, but aside from that its about being able to mount a challenge on promotion next season.

With BWFC_Insane on this.

Chance has gone.

7 point turn around in 8 games is a big ask.

We will probs be 10 points off Nottingham Forest by the time this game kicks off.

Hope for a good performance and 3 points, will probs get bollocks all and a shite performance.

See, this is what pisses me off all the more. It's not like we're just failing to keep up with the runners and riders despite our valiant efforts - the opportunity to succeed in this league is there for the taking, handed on a plate almost, and available to any club with even a modicum of consistent good form.

In a pretty off topic post Tom Eaves has hit two against Crawley, read on twitter that they're two pretty decent goals aswell... quite possibly the same Crawley side that knocked us out the cup!

And for those wondering (if any) thats 5goals in 8 games for Shrewsbury and 12 in total from both loan spells!

Good news for next season!

Has to be the player to take Kevin Davies' place in the squad.

The way I look at it, we were given a huge chance in the last round of fixtures. We've failed to take advantage.

We're being given yet another. We need to grab onto this one with both hands.

Agree totally we have been given another chance to push, and we have to grab it otherwise game over.

But has anyone else noticed Dingles are now in real danger of second successive relegation! Only out of relegation zone on Goal difference.

Noticed the pundit on radio was saying they didn't have a gameplan. That may be code for "I've managed clubs in the past and am a bit skint what with the global downturn, any chance of a three year contract?"

we're still MILES off!

we're 6pts off Brighton (same number of games) in the last playoff spot - effectively 7 with their massively better GD

we're 8pts off Forest albeit with a game in hand - even if we win that (no guarantee!) it's 5pts - effectively 6 with gd

we're still 5pts off leicester with a game in hand and MASSIVELY inferior gd

so - stop it now!!!

So we just need 7 10-0 wins then? CH needs to up his threats.

The issue for us is our away form. If every remaining game of the season was at home, I'd be confident of getting in the play off spots but our away form is terrible. We've got 5 points from our last 6 away games. If we did manage to improve away, there's a chance we could go up, but that sort of form is very poor.

This. And the fact that we are bound to fck up at home sooner or later.

Time to look to what happens next season.

Eaves looks promising for a start.

Huddersfield will be no walkover tomorrow. They dropped into the bottom 3 today so will be fighting for their lives.
