Bit like AVB at Chelsea.

'Oi Frank you're a bit old and not in my long term plans, but can you just play well when I pick you in the meantime, cheers lad'

hmmm... true in the grand scheme of things - but would that mean that in the run-in to the season's close, you'd have to change your mind as to who was a better manager week by week as wolves/bolton/wiggin/b'burn/QPR play musical chairs - swapping places up and down?

I don't think there's a whole lot in it TBH.

The point I was making was that plenty would say Kean is shite, but wouldn't say Coyle was shite when measured by the same yardstick. They start waffling aimlessly about how the price of eggs has affected Coyle's season, the impact the US crop reports might have had. In fact anything other than the things that actually count. How he's getting our squad to play like they actually meet each other between matches.

You would of course only need to change your mind as to who was the better Manager, should the forecast of musical chairs actually occur.

Yes - and whoever isn't sat down, gets knocked out and one chair gets removed...I think ours got removed in November.

not sure how this works - unless we were removed from the league in November and I missed it.. are we not allowed to play our last 11 games?

Yes we were removed in November and you missed it. Why do you think we're so angry at Coyle?

To sneak a fresh chair in

This fella shows no sign that he may possess the wit to come up with a plan to achieve that

He's doing the majority of the job he was asked to do, ie rescue us from the financial train wreck of the last regime. Anyone who's good with figures will note that whilst Coyle is in profit on his dealings, the income from player sales does not match outlay from the likes of Elmander/Shittu/Taylor/Cahill etc. They represent a substantial, irrecoverable loss to the club. He (or appears to be) replacing these "assets" with more salebale versions. ANd reducing the wage and age of the squad. So far so good.

I have no idea why he didn't stick with the formations that worked in the early part of this year, and I've no idea why we win comfortably one week, then lose miserably for several weeks after. That has me as baffled and frustrated as the next man.

On balance, I don't know of any worthwhile replacement who is willing to work under the constraints of the first paragraph, yet has the demonstrable ability to remedy the second. Its still my belief that the board are, and will, stick with their man. Regardless of our polls.

Go on....

If you think by far and away the maaaajor part of his job isn't keeping us up, you've gone mad. You might argue financial constraints have made it so tough nobody could do it, but his job is to keep us up.

Even so, if his job is to save us from financial ruin, you must know something I don't. Coz 19th and our accounts is not a good combination.

He's fecking shit.

Ive just spotted something marginally interesting.

If you look at the first half only league table, we're 15th.

On the second half only table we're 17th.

From that, the only possible conclusion is that we lose it all during the half time team talk and the post match analysis.

Coyle out.

I'm not disputing your facts .... but how can it be that ;
1st Half performances = 15th
2nd Half performnces = 17th

Both halves together = 19th !!

Cos for example someone could be 20th for their away record but 5th for their home one and overall have more points than us.

Intriguing statistical anomaly... backed up by Stats365 (although they have us 16th in the first half & 18th in the second)

Note that QPR are better than us in the first half, worse in the second... trouble is, we haven't won a single point after being behind at half-time (conversely, we've only dropped two points in the five games where we've gone in ahead)

Only three teams have better records when scoring first, but no team has lost more after conceding first...

I appreciate the difficulty in people trying to understand whats happening at our club. But the debt has been increasing year on year. This has to stop with immediate effect. The existing debt has also to be tackled. With immediate effect. Premier League or Championship, you'll see an exodus of players this summer as contracts are not renewed. And we cannot afford another manager. As in can't.

It'd just be nice if he tried to win games while he was doing it :?
