Hey, stats man, what was our team in SL's last game?

Anyway, all irrelevant

Lets stick to where we're at

Would we have more chance of staying up if we got shut

That's the question

I think we would. I've never seen us more disorganised. Under Megson and Lee, we were just shit at what we did.

Even if we got in some utterly horrible task master of a coach whose sole purpose and passion in life was to organise a defence, how do you work with some of those players we have?

I think they're just playing with too much freedom. Properly organised, Cahill and Wheater at CB, Gardner at LB, whoever isn't Steinsson at RB is a solid base. A 5 man midfield with Reo-Coker and Muamba told not to venture further than 10 yards past the half-way line, and Mark Davies/Tuncay given licence to go and pick up the ball wherever they will would allow us strength with creativity. Eagles on one flank, Kakuta on the other to provide pace, and Ngog as our pacy yet strong front man. The players we have are good enough, they just need to be properly drilled, and not to waste their time in training sessions pissing around with table tennis.

That's not surprising though is it, given the amount of money he had to spend.

Even so he still failed to get the best out of a striker he'd paid the best part of £10M for, not to mention saddling us with two of the worst full-backs in the Premier League.

Perhaps if Coyle dropped this one of the lads act he has with the team and became their manager instead of wanting to be mates with them all, playing ping-pong and this dressing up as supergirl and shit, he'd command a bit more respect. Stop trying to please everyone by chopping and changing the squad selection.

Or just resign. Tomorrow.

If we're looking for a new manager; Hughes or O'Neil would keep us in the prem, but would be very expensive.

Looking further, Nigel Adkins, Gus Poyet, Lee Clark and Nigel Clough could all do a job, but they are a chance. On balance, would any of them be better than OC?

From complete left field; Ray Wilkins & Steve Clark would be a duo i'd be happy with.

Sven, McClaren, Avram Grant, George Graham & Curbishley can all feck off.

We are half decent. Like I say, they're just being mismanaged. They need to be given strict roles and proper training.

Trouble with this is,

We the fans elected for this manager and it has well and truly smashed us in the face.

It worked for a season and a bit. We were on a one-way hiding to nothing with Megson. It needed changing. We changed it, and now I reckon we've sucked as much out of Coyle as we can. Therefore, it needs changing again. Not all managers can be 10 season jobs, like Allardyce.

We've gone backwards under Coyle

Hardly success, is it?

Did we?

Fans wanted Megson out.
Fans liked the idea of Coyle when mentioned.

But I don't think the two relate as close as you're saying. It's not like anyone was saying before we need to sack Megson and bring in Owen Coyle other than a few people perhaps saying 'Owen Coyle is doing a good job at Burnley, wonder if we could bring him in', no different to a couple of years before when the same questions were being asked about Phil Brown around this time during Hull's debut season.

If I remember rightly of the names all mentioned, Mark Hughes was the one finishing at the top of the 'new manager' type polls, Coyle running in second.

Gartside was single minded in his approach for Coyle. He really wanted him after passing him up once before and giving him to Burnley.

No we haven't. we improved beyond all measure when he first took over. This season has been a total nightmare because of injuries to key players, losing the likes of Sturridge, a terrible set of opening fixtures and out of form players who proved last season that they are capable of better. Anyone who thinks it would have been any better with Megson in charge really does need to get a grip.

Just fcuk off Coyle!!

This man is killing this club now and doing more damage in a shorter time than Megson ever did!!! and that's coming from Megson's number one fan

Tuncany; if to use your words Coyle he don't improve us why sign him?
Ditto Kakuta
Bet you wished you'd spent Eagles and Mears transfer fees toward Wright Philips wages now  (Tad unfair on Mears I know not having had a chance but this is a man who thinks Robbo is good!)
"Captain" Kevin Davies? An Italian Tank comander shows more leadership!

Now the real nasty bit;

You and your money grabbing in the case of Cahill has raped the next manager of funds to sort out this crap you will leave behind, yes he is a good prospect but £10-12 mill is a life line to a club like ours and I don't give a sh*t if anyone disagrees with that.
Mr Coyle a motivator who cannot motivate is as much use as a chocolate fire guard, so please just FCUK OFF!

I wanted coyle in. best option at the time. Whatever happened against Stoke has made us implode spectacularly. I said sell the team after Stoke and to be honest if we had that would of got rid of the mental hangover...at lEast a new manager might do that.

Young and up and coming was the Coyle choice...I'm not sure what to do now, can see why Hughes / MON would be seen as above us...but you don't ask, you don't get. I'd be pissed off if we just went for the megson choice without giving it i a proper go.

Jesus christ its hardly unheard of playing with 10 men away from home!

Tuncay, I agree with. Deserves a good run of starts to prove his worth, in the short and long term.
Kakuta, meh. More a Weiss/Rodrigo style character to have around the place. No chance, before the loan was agreed or now, that the player would be in a white shirt beyond this season.
SWP is merely a 30 year old 'has been' that shows glimpses of brilliance but too inconsitant. In fact having seen QPR 3 or 4 times this season he only stood out on his debut against Newcastle and for around half an hour against Chelsea last week. How does that justify anywhere near the high wages everyone knows he's on? Especially when Lee will be first choice if not this season than next defintely. Then we have a 31 year old on a big paycheck to sit on the bench of play a bit part role now and again. And sorry but Eagles isn't the problem! He's a good second choice winger (again behind Lee) and has done an ok job deputising in the position. He's a tad one dimensional but works hard and with any sort of attacking movement ahead of him, like Tuncay as you rightly suggested, can/and imo will turn out to be a decent signing.

Not even going to try comment on Cahill. IF and its a big IF a £10/12 million offer came in September for our Gary I have no doubt Owen would have bit their hand off. Fact is (from the manager himself and various other 'itk' sources, prove me wrong if you want bud) it didn't. If we'd sold him to Wenger for £6 mil the Coyle Out bangers would already be hanging from the North Stand.

1. Coyle doesn't decide how much we should pay the players we sign.

2. Coyle doesn't get to decide whether to accept an offer for a player in the last year of his contract.

3. We were never offered £10-£12M for Cahill.

As for the rest of the shite you posted...

Don't think Coyle should go but he needs to stop being mates with the players. We also need a proper defensive coach and we need to work on our shape

Ok us v Sunderland AT HOME!

15 Goal Attempts 18

8 On Target 10

2 Corners 11

15 Fouls 14

0 Yellow Cards 3

42 % 58

Wright Philips is much better the Eagles end of! if you think differently your at best confused, LCY can have done PETROVS SHIFT WHEN FIT.
Spurs bid ten the story goes. and when was the last time these itk sources were right?

Coyle has made 1 good signing, thats all Holden and 2 loan signings who were never ever going to stay past the deal.
