Cahill really, really isn't the problem. If we'd only had Wheater and Knight as our central defenders this year, it wouldn't be -12, it would be minus a cricket score.

I think no chance they'd be content to stay if we go down, unless they have some further injury problems.

We'd have looked after them during their time injured but that's football, they're both internationals who'd look very useful to suitors for off-the-field reasons too.
