None of the out of contract bunch will stay. We won't offer what they're on now, they won't accept less. That will be 10 out of the door, and they'll be replaced by Championship journeymen like Marlon King.

Sell don't renew.
Jussi, Klasnic, SKD, Zat Knight, Steinsson, Paul Robinson (all too old, slow and expensive) + Petrov ( only too old and expensive)

N'Power Championship Bolton
KEEPERS: Adam Bogdan, Rob Lainton
CBs: Ream, Wheater, Rhys Bennett, Connolly
LB:Ricketts, Alonso
RB: Mears, Joe Riley
DM: Muamba, Reo-Coker, Pratley,
CM:Stuart Holden, Mark Davies, Josh Vela
WL:Ricardo Gardner?, Odebayi?
WR:Lee Chung-Yong, Chris Eagles
ST: David Ngog, Sordell, Tom Eaves

Makings of a good young team there. Lots of game time for the young uns to develop and bounce back.
Struggle to keep Holden, Davies, Lee, Reo-Coker,Muamba, but maybe.

I like this squad pretty much for the Premier League too.
25 man squad depth chart

KEEPERS: Adam Bogdan,???, Rob Lainton(u21)
CBs: Ream, ???, Wheater, Rhys Bennet(u21)
LB:Ricketts, Alonso
RB: Mears, ???, Joe Riley (u21)
DM: Muamba, Reo-Coker, Pratley,
CM:Stuart Holden, Mark Davies, ??? (LOAN), Josh Vela (u21)
WL: Miyaichi (LOAN), Petrov, ???,
WR:Lee Chung-Yong, Chris Eagles, ???
ST: ???, David Ngog, Sordell, ???, Tom Eaves

We need speed,and/or toughness and endurance with more guts. A dominant centreback would be a decent start a Hangeland, Shawcross, Johnson type. Goal scoring strikers too. Ones with the knack like a Yakubu, Kevin Phillips.

I'm just looking at the glass as half full...
You're looking at the glass wondering where our Premier League football went...

It'd be heartbreaking to see Holden & Lee leave if we went down after looking after them through their injuries, but that's football.

Can see us cashing in on Lee. Gutting cos we havent had a full season whete he hasnt been tired from South Korea.commitments and benefitted from a pre season here. He will be a great player.

Holden, not so sure. 3 Major injuries in 2 seasons - will he be as good? Big gamble for anyone.

Holden no chance, he is too injury prone. He would stay and try to get us back up, well that's if he doesn't get another bloody injury of course.

Good grief. We're going nowhere. We'll battle our way back and still be in the Prem. End of.

is that a joke? or is this tango world where kevin davies laces his hob nail boots before setting out over the white line to score a winning goal where he barges centre half keeper and referee in the net, saving us from relegation?

Your optimism is quite spectacular!

It's needed to balance all the pessimism on here. I'm as disappointed as the rest, but I don't just give up when things go a bit bad. But hey, you carry on being depressed down in Dibbleworld and I'll just keep hoping.

A thought strikes. By next August, will there be any player left who wasn't either signed by Coyle or signed a contract extension under him (eg Muamba, Mavies, Bogdan)?

Another thought. Sam Ricketts signed in summer 2009 on a three-year contract, and a quick search doesn't show any evidence of a renewal...

How much is he on?

I think that, and whichever league we're in will dictate his future with us. And potentially his increasing prone-ness to injury.
