eh?? have I missed summat? you can't just say that!!!
I read that he'd been summoned to New York to explain himself.

I think they despaired at him during the Suarez saga ... & he's attempted to act less churlishly since, but he's not able to do that really.

He's been quoted as being after player after player ... all very expensive, despite the budget being cut due to lack of Chumps League.

It's going to either be ;
i. Bllx & he's actually sat at home right this moment.
ii. Being given an ultimatum for next year
iii. Being told his budget for next year .... something like the Ridsdale to O'Dreay discussion 8 or so years ago ; "you think you have this, but in fact, you only have this"
iv. Being told, as he's a legend & the King, he's being shunted upstairs, which he'll object to.
v. Any combination of the above

I'd enjoy RAWK if it was iii &/or iv.

Well I was surprised at the new owners when they appointed Dalglish. I'm sure the American posters would have greater detail of how they changed the fortunes of Boston Red Sox but essentially they did it using "Sabermetrics". This is basically using various statistical measures to find undervalued players. In the movie Moneyball(based on a book), John Henry's character talked about the dinosaur mentality of baseball clubs around them and how he had hoped to changed Boston's mentality. So appointing Dalglish in the first place seemed to counter that philosophy. I'd be surprised if he'll be there in the long term.

BTW, the book was a favourite of Allardyce's and he used the Ooakland A's and Billy Beane's philosophy in football. Worked out alright innit?

Liverpool have apparently approached Martinez. Along with Mick McCarthy for Villa, rumour of the day!

Silly decision. The man is a goon but continuity = success in the prem.

"8th place isn't good enough for Liverpool Football Club."

Er, I rather think it is.

After spending the GDP of a small African country, I'd say they have a case.
