I don't think doing drunken sailors down Union Street is really what Jimmy was getting at.

Right. I'm off to sulk on my gooner forum for a few days as i know you will all find this bloody hilarious... :(

I'm disapointed in him. He's been injured for about 6 and a half years of the 8 he's been with us, had one great season and now he's buggering off. I honestly feel he owes us a bit more loyalty then that. Maybe that's stupid in this day and age to hope for that, but Wenger and the club stood by him injury after injury, paying him very genorous wages and this is how he re-pays us? Fine, i understand he wants to win trophies and maybe he would stand more chance elsewhere, but Wenger has made some good signings already this close season and i honestly think we will be and around next season for league and cups. His family are supposedly happy in England but i guess also we can't offer him the £'s the likes of Man City can...

Hope he enjoys warming Man Citys physio table.

Makes Arsene look a bit stupid, especially after what he said recently.

Now that announcement is hardly a surprise. Still funny though.

You really think you will be there or thereabouts? Really?

Cos I think the football world is leaving your club and it's lack of spending and stubborn manager behind.

With Robin i think we would have been, without him far less sure. We have Wilshere back this season - he will be a big plus. Not saying we would have won the league but i think closer then last year and a cup wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility with RVP - as for without him, really depends on how the new boys peform.

Club are hopeful he will stay next season from the sounds of it http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archiv ... van-persie but then what? Lose him on a free? Perhaps we will do so brilliantly he'll want to stay?

If he does stay this season i hope he is stripped of the captaincy. Doesn't deserve it if he doesn't want to play for us. Though that didn't stop Wenger sticking with Fab as captain...

Is it right he will miss the start of the season?
