Hull

Tigers pair Kamil Zayatte and Bernard Mendy are both in contention for Sunday's crunch clash after missing last weekend's draw at Bolton with head and toe injuries respectively.

Left-back Andy Dawson is also expected to start the match at the KC Stadium despite struggling this week with illness.

Striker Caleb Folan is available again after suspension but on-loan Manucho is unable to play against his parent club.

Manager Phil Brown reported that all players trained today with the exception of long-term injury victims Jimmy Bullard, Ian Ashbee and Anthony Gardner.

Newcastle

The biggest game for the Magpies since their promotion in 1993 will be played without suspended duo Joey Barton and Sebastien Bassong and the injured Andy Carroll, Habib Beye, Xisco and Ignacio Gonzalez. Scant consolation is the return of Jose Enrique and Michael Owen to training, with neither likely to be considered match-fit enough to start.

Newcastle Utd Team: Harper, Coloccini, Steven Taylor, Edgar, Duff, Guthrie, Nolan, Butt, Lovenkrands, Viduka, Martins.

Newcastle Utd Substitutes: Krul, Jose Enrique, Owen, Smith, Gutierrez, Ameobi, Ryan Taylor.

Villa,
meanwhile, have few problems other than the sad, injury-enforced retirement of star defender Martin Laursen.

Wilfred Bouma is still out as he recovers from a long-term ankle injury, while Ashley Young and Luke Young are touch-and-go and unlikely to be risked with nothing at stake other than the pride of pipping Everton to fifth.

Aston Villa Team: Friedel, Gardner, Davies, Cuellar, Shorey, Milner, Petrov, Barry, Ashley Young, Carew, Agbonlahor.

Aston Villa Substitutes: Guzan, Sidwell, Delfouneso, Knight, Heskey, Reo-Coker, Albrighton.

West Ham

With the Hammers out of contention for a European place they will not be too worried about missing a host of first-teamers.

Valon Behrami, James Collins, Danny Gabbidon, Keiron Dyer and Dean Ashton are all long-term injured while youngster James Tomkins is suspended. Versatile USA defender Jonathan Spector fills in at centre-back.

West Ham Utd Team: Green, Spector, Neill, Upson, Ilunga, Noble, Kovac, Collison, Boa Morte, Cole, Stanislas.

West Ham Utd Substitutes: Lastuvka, Lopez, Dyer, Nsereko, Tristan, Di Michele, Payne.

Middlesborough

It's a different story altogether for Boro, who must win and hope both Newcastle and Hull lose if they are to avoid relegation. They could even go down if they win and Hull are beaten by United, as they need to overhaul a five-goal deficit to catch the Tigers.

Stewart Downing's broken foot is a major blow to add to existing injuries to Didier Digard, Afonso Alves, Emanuel Pogatetz and Chris Riggott.

Things are not looking good for Boro boss Gareth Southgate.

Middlesbrough Team: Jones, McMahon, Wheater, Huth, Hoyte, O'Neil, Bates, Arca, Johnson, Sanli, Emnes.

Middlesbrough Substitutes: Turnbull, Shawky, Bennett, Franks, Williams, Grounds, Walker.

Sunderland
The Black Cats are not quite safe and could go down if they lose and both Newcastle and Hull win.

Craig Gordon is still out after an op so Marton Fulop keeps goal.

Nyron Nosworthy and George McCartney are injured so Calum Davenport and Danny Collins continue at centre-half and left-back respectively.

Sunderland (from): Fulop, Colgan, Bardsley, McCartney, Ferdinand, Davenport, Collins, Ben Haim, McShane, Edwards, Richardson, Tainio, Reid, Whitehead, Leadbitter, Malbranque, Yorke, Cisse, Jones, Healy, Murphy.

Chelsea

Chelsea are assured third place but are missing Joe Cole, Deco, Paulo Ferreira and Ricardo Carvalho through injury.

Michael Ballack could return in place of John Obi-Mikel, but otherwise no changes are expected in Guus Hiddink's final league game as temporary Chelsea boss.
Chelsea (from): Cech, Hilario, Bosingwa, A Cole, Terry, Ivanovic, Alex, Carvalho, Belletti, Ballack, Obi, Lampard, Kalou, Malouda, Di Santo, Drogba, Anelka, Essien, Mancienne.

Two of those four I'd say, so cannot vote for one.

Newcastle playing heaps of people out of position.
Getting run around on Colocinni's wing. Too slow. Gutierrez and Ryan Taylor on the bench???

Newcastle Utd Team:

Harper,
Coloccini, Steven Taylor, Edgar, Duff,
Guthrie, Nolan, Butt, Lovenkrands,
Viduka, Martins.

Duff almost scores...

Same here! I don't want us to get battered by five or whatever, but I'm all about the Villa match today!

Boro let Carlton Cole score so they're gone.
Hull losing but have become favourites again.

Sunderland are a goal down. That's Anelka with the golden boot then (as Ronaldo isn't in the ManUrinal squad today).

Boro 1-1... but I don't think it'll make much difference.
